Epicentr is #1 retailer in Ukraine, with the strongest presence in construction and household goods. Sustainability and waste recycling are the main concerns when it gets to construction in Ukraine and a key corporate principle that Epicentr promotes.

In 2021 Epicentr decided to enter national cultural events to promote values of responsible consumption with the idea of zero-waste exhibitions. Every big event ends up with tonnes of constructions and materials going into trash. In Ukraine — simply to a dump.

To change that, we started to transform events into zero-waste ones, not only by recycling all the waste, but upcycling all the used materials. That is how banners, textile and other parts of the Lesya Ukrainka: 150 names national exhibition were redesigned into bags, wallets, backpacks and numerous trendy stuff. The unique and styled limited collection was sold out in just a couple of days, making the exhibition live longer and saving the planet from tonnes of trash.
